01 — Why people drive past three shops to get here

Most of what people hate about car repair is just bad communication.

None of these are hard problems to solve. They're just problems most shops have decided not to solve. Here's what we do instead.

01

The vague estimate

"Somewhere around a grand, depends what we find." You get an itemized number in writing — parts, labor, tax — before we start. If it changes, we call you first.

02

The invisible problem

You're told the gasket is shot but never shown it. We photograph the failed part on your car and send it to your phone, so you're deciding with your own eyes.

03

The mystery upsell

Four extra items appear on the invoice. We separate what's unsafe now from what can wait six months, and we tell you plainly which is which.

04

"It's ready when it's ready"

No update for two days. You get a realistic finish time up front and a message when it changes — not silence until you chase us.

02 — How a visit actually goes

We show you the problem. Then we tell you the number.

It's the whole reason people leave us the reviews they do. There's no trick to it — just doing the obvious thing that most shops skip.

  1. Tell us what it's doing

Call or stop in. Describe the noise, the light, the smell — whatever brought you here. No appointment needed for a look.

  2. We find it and photograph it

We put it up, track down the actual cause, and take pictures of the failed part on your car. You get them on your phone with a plain-English explanation.

  3. You get the number before we start

An itemized estimate — parts, labor, what's urgent and what can wait. Nothing gets done until you say go.

  4. We fix it and hand back the old parts

Ask and we'll show you what came off the car. If the job runs into something unexpected, you hear about it before we spend your money.

Every diagnosis comes with a picture of the actual part.

03 — What we work on

Everyday maintenance and the repairs nobody wants to hear about.

Foreign and domestic, most makes and models. If it's beyond what we do in-house, we'll tell you that too, and point you somewhere honest.

Oil & filter changes

Conventional, blend or full synthetic, with the filter and drain plug done properly and a look over the rest of the car while it's up.

Brakes & rotors

Pads, rotors, calipers and fluid. We'll show you the measurement on the pad and the scoring on the rotor before you agree to anything.

See pricing →

Check-engine diagnostics

A code is a starting point, not an answer. We trace the fault to the actual cause instead of replacing the first part the scanner suggests.

See pricing →

Tune-ups & ignition

Spark plugs, coils, filters and belts. The unglamorous maintenance that quietly decides whether you're back here in a year.

See pricing →

Batteries, starting & charging

Testing before replacing. Plenty of "dead batteries" are a corroded terminal or a failing alternator, and we'd rather find that out first.

See pricing →

Tires, rotation & balance

Mounting, balancing, rotation and pressure. Uneven wear usually means something else is wrong — we'll look while it's on the lift.

04 — What it costs

Nobody else on this street will show you a price. We will.

Go and look at the other top-rated shops in Jacksonville. Not one of them publishes what anything costs — you have to call and ask, and by then you're already half-committed.

We think that's backwards. Here's roughly what the common jobs run, so you can decide whether to call us before you're standing in our lobby.

These are labor figures — parts are quoted separately so you can see exactly what you're paying for, and so you're never guessing which half of the bill is which. Final price depends on your year, make, model and what we actually find once it's on the lift. You get the real number in writing before any work starts.

07 — Before you call

The questions we get most.

Do I need an appointment?
No. You can call ahead or just come by during opening hours and we'll take a look. Bigger jobs we'll schedule so your car isn't sitting here longer than it needs to.
Will you tell me the price before you start?
Always. You get an itemized estimate covering parts and labor, and nothing gets done until you've agreed to it. If we open something up and find more, we stop and call you.
What does the diagnostic fee cover, and do I lose it if I don't go ahead?
It covers the time to trace a fault to its actual cause rather than guessing from a code. If you have the repair done here, it comes off the final bill.
Do you work on European cars?
Yes — foreign and domestic, most makes and models. If a job genuinely needs dealer-only tooling or programming, we'll say so up front instead of learning on your car.
Can I bring my own parts?
Talk to us first. It's sometimes fine, but we can't warranty a part we didn't supply, and some cheaper aftermarket parts fail early enough that you end up paying the labor twice.
Can I see the old parts?
Yes. Ask and we'll set them aside for you. It's the simplest proof that the work you paid for actually happened.

Tell us what it's doing.

Describe the noise, the light or the leak over the phone and we'll tell you whether it needs looking at today or whether it can wait.
